When you arrive at Mooiplaas we greet you with a welcome drink. Rooms are decorated and equipped to make you feel special. At night we light up the evening torches that give a warm glow to the evening atmosphere and we turn down your bed with a little surprise.

- Lawn mowers we use are only manpower, no petrol or electricity.
- Local meat form butchery.

The history of Oudtshoorn is tied to the ostrich starting with the early days of the ostrich feather, to the present where it is still the world’s largest and leading producer of ostriches. Take in the local culture and learn about the fascinating history of the area.
There are some world-class sights here too – for example, the 20 million year old Cango Caves. And you should take out some time to visit and discover the local wine growing area especially famous for its world-class port. Travel the famous route 62 and visit the Karoo towns along the way. Or drive the great mountain passes with spectacular scenery.
