		Leisure The area offers a great variety of things to see and do. The world famous Cango Caves. Horse riding .... and how about Camel riding. Visit some of the famous Ostrich Show Farms (where you can ride an Ostrich). For wildlife and nature visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch, and dont miss walking with wild meerkats at Meetkat Magic. Then there's the famous and much loved Route 62 - a wonderful scenic route through quaint villages and fabulous scenery. It is also the longest wine route in South Africa (and possibly the world) - so come and enjoy our local wines, and world famous ports.


		Adrenaline If you are looking for adventure, this area has it it all! You can go quad biking, or 4x4 driving. You can go climbing, abseiling or even caving (if you are not fainthearted). Why not go kayaking. Or you can take to the skies on scenic flights or hot air ballooning. Why not try something you have never done before this holiday?


		Culture Experiences The Oudtshoorn and the Klein Karoo has is own culture which is diverse, rich and unique. You can experience and learn about the authentic Xhosa culture. There are interesting museums to visit which tell the story of the booms and busts of the great ostrich industry. The father of the Afrikaans language, C.J Langenhoven, lived in Oudtshoorn, and you can visit his home which is now a National monument.


		Sport Oudtshoorn and the Klein Karoo is the perfect place for people who want to get outdoors and enjoy the open spaces and the wonderful natural beauty of the area. You can play a round of golf at the Oudtshoorn Golf Club. Or you can hike one of the many varied hikes in the area. There are short hikes, hikes for non-hikers, and then of course there is the rugged adventures too. If you prefer to see the world using two wheels - there are great cycling opportunities - that are adventurous or other that are more sedate.

If you are a shopaholic, or even just someone who enjoys a bit of retail therapy, then you will not be disappointed. There are many unique things to buy in the area - the most obvious being ostrich feathers or leather items! But there are others things too...
